Farmer Teds Adventure

Writer's picture: Ellie LouiseEllie Louise

Farmer Teds was one of the first family days out post lockdown.

Like many we where apprehensive of what to expect from our visit, however we cannot recommenced here enough.

Things to do:

Where do I start, there was so much to do.

The new sunflower maze, was superb.

Who doesn’t love a maze?

This one was picturesque, fun with lots of picture opportunities.

There were new pop up activities outside: archery and football shoot out.

Which were great new additions, even though I was dismal at archery 😂🙈

The quad barrel rides which usually have a small fee were free of charge, adding to the outdoor fun.

The toboggan run was an ultimate favourite of ours.

If you time your visit to a quieter time you can have family races, which was great fun! 😉

There was a new ‘Hog splash’ outdoor area. This is part of the ‘Shaun The Sheep Adventure’

Here you are all given a bucket each, and have to catch the changing sprays of water.

Great family fun.

Perfect on a hotter day, as you will get wet!! 😂

Also part of the ‘Shaun The Sheep Adventure’ there were multiple family shows throughout the day on their new outdoor stage area.

Amongst the usual farm animals,

there are multiple outdoor park areas,

Outdoor go karts,

Jumping pillows,

and a large covered Sand pit area.

Every day there are scheduled shows/talks which have been moved to a larger area (to accommodate social distancing).

These include:

rabbit and guinea pig petting,

pony grooming,

reptile talk

and a ferret show.

These are all monitored to abide by new covid rules and regulations.

As a summary: most activities are now accommodated outside, with even more added fun activities.

Any activities which remain indoors are now in a larger setting with an ‘in and out’ entrance.

Indoor areas are monitored to allow safe numbers, in order to maintain a safe social distance.

Hand sanitiser and washing stations are regularly placed around the farm.

Face masks are required indoors for adults.

More pop up outdoor cafes and ice cream stations are also in place, to avoid mass queuing.

There is nothing we could fault!

Despite the indoor soft play area remaining closed, the activities available kept us busy for hours.

Tickets are pre-bookable.

Ticket times are flexible 10am-close.

This allows you to arrive whenever you like on the day of your booking.

I would suggest arriving lunch time with view to staying till closing (This is as late afternoon we found the quietest).

They have also catered for upcoming Halloween and Christmas.

We most definitely plan to book both events!

🎃🎄
